Teak wood stain removal

Please help? I have a beautiful teak wood table with a few white spots (from moisture I think). My question is ... how can I remove the stains. I have applied teak oil but it didn't help. I have been using teak oil about once every 4 months or so to retain the finish. Can I lightly sand the stained area & then reapply the teak oil? Thanks for your help.
